Emaze-ing! I thoroughly recommend this presentation tool – more exciting than PowerPoint, less ‘dangerous’ than Prezi…

I’ve not used Emaze before but oooooh – I really like it! I think it would be popular with others too and could be a great introductory presentation tool for students – more exciting than PowerPoint but less daunting (and dangerous) than Prezi…

Registration is really simple – just your email address and a password. There are a range of templates to choose from – some zoom and twist like Prezi while others offer a more linear, but sophisticated, layout. There are designs to suit many uses – CV, Space (Science-based subjects), Educational and Finance (Business) to name a few. There’s also a template for creating infographics.  The 3D templates, ‘City 3D’ and ‘MadMen’ (based on the series) are particularly impressive…

Emaze Templates

Once you’ve selected your template (I chose ‘Newspaper’), you can choose associated (template) slides and replace the content with your own. You don’t have to stick to them though – everything is completely customisable.

Emaze is incredibly easy to use and you can put together a presentation really quickly. There’s also an option to import an existing PowerPoint presentation. Like Dan, I experienced a few glitches, but switching it off and on again seemed to do the trick. Everyone should try this – it’s such a refreshing change to PowerPoint and I really think you’ll like it!

Has anyone else used Emaze? Please share if you have – it would be great to see more examples! :o)
